Vets Porthminster cup semi-final

Recommended Posts

St Agnes 0-4 Hayle ( L Norman 3) ( S Bendal 1)

We feared the worst we were told it was 11.30 kick off by our club a message from the league funny though they only told us that not St Agnes or the ref and we were forced to kick off early with only 9 men St Agnes done us last time we had only 9 men in the league game last season but we scored after 2 minutes a good goal by our lone striker Lee Norman who had another great game today torturing the aggie defence, 2 players turned up, and we were back to full team, we were solid in defence and midfield, giving nothing away, then Simon Bendal scored our second to give us a 2-0 lead at half time.

They had to attack us in the second half, and were stretched at the back, which Lee Norman took advantage of, and scored another 2 goals, giving him a hat-trick, and us a final to look forward to.

Yes Martyn qualifies to play in goal - but only just of course! He wasn't in goal this week when Hayle scored 4 by the way - imagine the tantrum if he had been!

He has offered to play in the Ladies Veterans Game as well - just in case that was the one you meant Truro's Mr Murinho - but we have had to turn him down - too much hair - just!
