Parkway 5 Fareham 2- FA Vase

Recommended Posts

First competitive game for Parkway since December 10th saw them overcome Fareham to reach the fourth round of the Vase.

Due to Bolitho Park being out of action because of major pitch and ground renovations in readiness for the upcoming Truro City groundshare, the match was played behind closed doors on the 3G pitch at Coach Road, Newton Abbott.  Lee Hobbs' side took a two goal lead at half time through a Ryan Richards brace, with a Fareham sending off and Callum Hall leaving the pitch with a suspected broken arm being other notable incidents. Parkway made it three with a Mikey Williams goal after the resumption, before a wobbly ten minutes saw Fareham get it back to 3-2. Billy Palfrey and sub Craig Veal settled the nerves with a couple of late goals, thus setting up a visit from Clevedon Town for the fourth round next week.

The Vase will be played out on a weekly basis until the final on May 17th, making each game a high stakes win or season over scenario.
