Disappointing result against Western though hard to argue with the result. Home team better in every department (apart from goal keeper obviously!). Home side used under hand tactics (announced no food before game) which completely disrupted our preparations as we had already set our side up to eat all our sandwiches before pinching some of Westerns. Winning goal should never have stood, overhead kick from a corner, such skill was not in the spirit of Vets football where scuffed shots from 2 yards out that go through a hungover goalies hands are the norm. Well refereed by George Wright who worryingly some of us appear to be catching up age wise. As always thanks to the opposition for a good run out and we wish them all the best for the rest of the season.
