Three out of yesterdays fixtures were 'walk overs' for  the hosting clubs.

In two of the fixtures, if distance is a problem on a Sunday morning :drink:then maybe an East / West split right through to the final will need to be considered.

Thoughts from the clubs would be appreciated. - Sensible replies please. :c:

There used to be a split (I believe at the request of the West clubs) but that was stopped about 4 years ago, The CSFL clubs based around Bodmin, Wadebridge & St Austell certainly don't want it, nothing worse than being drawn against a club from your own league which you see week in week out in a competition for all of Cornwall. Our clubs hope they get an away draw down west or Saltash way. Before the draw several of our clubs mooted reversing the fixture if they were drawn at home to a West club, they wanted an away day & save money on pitches (Par track is about £90 with the ref). Mullion conceded the tie to Packhorse on Friday last weekend as they couldn't raise a team but we told them to hold fire as the game may be hit by the weather, it was and the game got played today. Packhorse wouldn't accept a walk over win. Despite a 5-1 defeat by all accounts the Mullion team played very well, dominated large periods and were a great bunch of lads.

Thanks for your comments. There are no reasons why  the Competition Committee should want to alter the current format as long as everyone is happy to travel. It is good however just to get some feedback by those willing to post up replies. :Santa:

The feedback from this season is that Tremough were depleted through injury, a shame as Tremough have a fine tradition in the Sunday Cup. Last season Carlyon faced Wendron at home, the away side mentioned that had they known it was "so far" they would have considered staying Saturday night in St Austell in preparation!
