Ian Pethick
Parkway 4 ( Neale 2, Levi, Lewis) Tuffley Rovers 1 ( Bradley ) (HT 2-0) Very comfortable win for Parkway against a disappointing Tuffley side who appeared to be playing for penalties for most of the match .If only their players had been as enthusiastic and vociferous as the bunch of supporters that made the journey, they certainly showed more endeavour in trying ( on numerous occasions) to attach their flag to the railings. The highlight of a pretty quiet first half was two clinical pieces of finishing from Andrew Neale just before the break which sent Parkway to the dressing rooms two up. The second half was a case of Parkway being camped in the Tuffley half, but never quite being able to wrap the game up. Neale,Levi Landricombe and Dan Hart all went close before Tuffley's skipper Shayne Bradley finished well with pretty much their sole meaningful venture in to the Parkway half . Levi quelled thoughts of a nervous end of game minutes later though when he scored from close range, before Danny Lewis headed home Levi's corner in stoppage time. Parkway into the next round draw,no doubt hoping to avoid Peninsula League opposition.
blazeyboy
Well done Parkway- glad Wednesdays result could be put behind you as it is always nice to see local teams progress but as I said in another post chances of drawing each other are increasing!!! The futures bright the futures green and black
