Guest Helston Patriot
HELSTON 4 - 0 NEWQUAY SCORERS; DOM PULLEN STEVE HAWKS O.G BRYNN WHEELER 8/8 C'MON!! Not a memorable game witth Newquay having almost as many chances as Helston but, not playing well and getting the 4-0 win shows team spirit and grit in getting the result, especially at the end of the season. Helston never playup to their normal standard when playing so-called 'weaker' teams. This must change!

jollyman
Helston 4 v Newquay 0 The best and the worst of Newquay today....Helston and Newquay carved out enough chances to entertain the crowd but it was a gruesome game full of determination and not much good football. What hurts is that Newquay get an assist for all Four Helston goals....2 at the start of the game and two late on. Centre half got caught in posession for the first, gave a silly penno for the second, a cushioned header back to the keeper who let it trickle bewtween his legs for the comical third (otherwise a great game from big shanks in goal) and a backpass fell short leaving the striker through 1 on 1 for a fourth ! 2 defeats on the bounce now for Newquay... 8 wins out of 8 for Helston. Well done Winno..... (and I havent mentioned we had 7 players out today with no third team to call upon...It isnt relevant that we had 7 out - includeing the three strikers who have scored all our goals this year....) Truth is, Helston are very solid and have a big, keen squad and will be tough to beat. Truro vs Helston is looking like a title decider already! Well done Winno. SpongeBobSafeHands
holmans10 are we bitter about the "signing on fee" or just jealous. firstly you should get your facts right. (£1500 from the horses mouth, and all spent within 2 weeks) secondly jealously is a terrible trait to behold.
