David Bray Posted February 28, 2013 Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 A reminder that Cornwall Youth Under 18's entertain Somerset Youth Under 18's on Saturday 9th March at Penlee Park - Penzance FC. The kick off time at the request of Somerset CFA is now 3.00pm, ( not 2.30 pm as in some publications.). The Cornwall side is the same that secured a hard fought draw away to Gloucestershire in January. To date Cornwall have played two of their 4 Group 'B' fixtures, winning one and drawing the other. On the other hand Somerset have yet to play any of their four fixtures which must be some kind of a record seeing that fixtures normally commence in mid September.!! Cornwall's final fixture, away to Wiltshire has still to be arranged but it will be played on either Saturday 6th or 13th April. The squad should be in this Sundays' 'Independent' as well as next weeks Cornish Guardian etc and on the Counties own Web Site. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
David Bray Posted March 3, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 3, 2013 I read today in the 'Sunday Independent' that Somerset played Devon last Tuesday evening at Coach Road Newton Abbott. The result was a 3 - 3 draw The Competition 'web site' is rarely up to date which means that one is not aware that re arranged fixtures ( particulary mid week ) are taking place.
