retired for now
MPAD 5-2 Wendron An even game to be honest. Mpad just battled slightly harder in the 2nd half. Very scrappy game on the small rough pitch. Important 3 points for MPAD as its going to be a long hard season for us if the last few weeks with players not playing are anything to go by

Woodmanaldo
West Cornwall Sunday League - Division 2 Troon 8 Trevenson 2 Despite missing a host of chances Troon opened their league campaign with another win to make it 7 wins from 7 following their 6 straight wins in the Champions League style League Cup games. Scott Smeeth continued in goal and Botswana international Greg Wells came in at right back as gaffa Marles decided to run the line as well as provide expert commentary for ESPN with classic quotes this week including "Dan Oliver is average at best" and "Ashley Wills will never be a striker". Marles had earlier in an interview on Sky Sports News admitted that he is interested in bringing strike duo Dave Rowe and Louis Goss to the club so Oliver and Cook bettter deliver or else they'll be out the door and duly they did bagging 4 goals each meaning the front two have now over 30 goals between them in the 7 games played so far this season. Troon started off well and it wasn't long before Graham Cook had the ball in the net getting on the end of an Oliver cutback. Trevenson however weren't going to lie down and they were level following a free header from a corner. However Cook side footed home a carbon copy of his first goal before an Oliver strike made it 3-1. When Jason Philips was brought down in the area Cook converted the spot-kick to make it 4-1 at the break. Troon started off rather sloppy at the start of the 2nd half and were made to pay when a long throw was met with a good header to make it 4-2. However Troon really started dominate from this point onwards with half-time substitute Josh "I was I was Rylan Clark" Reynolds pulling the strings from the middle of the park. Troon managed to miss a host of sitters with Cook hitting the post from a yard and Phillips putting an open goal wide - being the two stand out misses. It was soon 5-2 however with Cook grabbing his hat-trick before Oliver grabbed his 2nd when his free-kick went through the Trevenson keeper and couple of more average finishes either side of an Ashley Wills penalty miss soon gave Oliver 4 goals to match his other average strike partners Cook's 4 goals for the game. Troon continued to miss chances with Wills missing a couple on his own before the Trevenson left winger also showed how to miss sitters side footing an open goal wide with Smeeth stranded. Smeeth had a largely untroubled game but he did pull of a world class save at one point during the half. Wise's swerving drive from range was beaten out by the Trevenson keeper before the rebound was crashed against the bar and Wills missed another couple of sitters as Troon continued to be wasteful infront of goal. However 3 points and some neat football provided Troon with a good platform to start their league campaign.

jobysdad
Out of interest anyone know St Buryan v Tremough and Truro v Camborne results as they're not on Mitoo? Buryan v Tremough called off due to waterlogged pitch, but also had no referee allocated anyway as 'it was going to rain a lot'!
