Portreathlegend Posted April 23, 2012 Report Share Posted April 23, 2012 Portreath Statement--- Alan Williams (BUNDI) (ME) has announced to the club officials that this year will be his last at the club, since being a founder member of the club back in 1998, i have had highs and lows with portreath, but over the last 3 seasons it has got continously worse to attract sponsors or new players. i have tried to stabilise the club since we nearly folded 3 years ago, but as a club with no home and no sponsor i can no longer see the light at the end of the tunnel. i will be leaving the club at the end of the season, only 2 more games to go. The club is going to be taken over by James Isaacs, who over the last 2 weeks has already secured a new sponsor and is looking to take the club forward with some fresh ideas. i would like to thank every single person and player i have played with tat the club, some special players have played at portreath and gone on to bigger and better things. but moving forward i will be looking to join a new club as a player only and looking for a new challenge with new players.
