Gee Posted May 9, 2011 Report Share Posted May 9, 2011 Dunn Cup Final Illogan 1 - 0 Robartes (1-0 HT) Lee Harris Good local derby game between two fully commited sides. 1st half was all Illogan really against a strong wind and we managed to take the lead from an Abbo corner which set piece specialist Lee Harris headed in. 10 minutes later we put the ball in the back of the net after good work from Adam Callaway down the left crossed in for Abbo 8 yrds out to slot home, but it was ruled out as offside, Lino said the ball went forward, our player was behind the ball when it was played though which is all I thought mattered?? 2nd Half was alot scrappier and a strong wind made it more difficult to keep the ball. We had numerous strikes on goal all just whistling past the post or hitting the post but that was it really, Robartes never threatened and don't think Grass in goal had a save to make. All in all a good win and thanks to Mousehole for being great hosts and the pitch was the best surface weve played on this year even better than Hayles I felt. Glad all 4 teams enjoyed the day, was good fun day, feel over the last 2 seasons of doing these finals, we have proved ourselves to have 1 of the best pitches & facilities in the area, JUST HOPE we get put in the hat for the cup finals next season in the new league system & not all of them going to teams down to the FALMOUTH & HELSTON area..just a rumor i heard :unsure: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But the new changing rooms and the pitch were a credit to the club so hopefully we will see you down there again next year in another cup final.
