Coopsie
Just a question, due mainly to an unprecedented ignorance of Africa as a nation.. MUCH money has been spent on new stadiums and training venues in Africa in preperation for next years World Cup. What I want to know is, what will happen with those stadiums after the World Cup has come to an end?. Surely there is not a club ovr there with enough money to purchase or take over one of these stadiums?. Is African club football supported well enough for these venues to be filled and therefore maintained properly? Surely plans would have been made by the Africn Government, Football Association etc for when these times arrive?. Does anyone have the answers? Having toured South Africa if anyone on here is going it is an amazingly beautiful place to visit but avoid joburg, cape town is just a fantastic, beautiful city though! The Ginger Jedi
I would imagine that the Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Rustenberg stadia will be used for S14 and test match rugby. Soccer City could be the white elephant. Totally agree with Rob, Cape Town is one of the most spectacular cities in the world. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront will be bouncing for the England game, a great spot for drinking. PE and Durban are good places to visit as well but Joburg, Pretoria and Bloemfontein are best avoided.
