Duchy 1

Probus 0 - 4 Bodmin Saints

This was not as one-sided as you might think. Probus were well in the game for the first 45 minutes and rightly so. Saints, as usual started very slowly but there were good signs of what was to come.

Four goals, four different goalscorers but four quality peaches.

A word for the home keeper: well played mate!

watched torpoint v st mawgan yesterday, quite an even game, clinical finishing the main difference. st mawgan probably the better side in the 1st half but didnt take their chances. Torpoint only had a couple of chances in the 1st half but Stace took them as you'd expect but what a cross for his second header. 2nd half torpoint in cruise control, but st mawgan never gave up tot heir credit. their left winger prob man of the match, had all the skills to pay the bills.

Potential banana skin which Torpoint overcame, back on track for the league now.

St Teath not at there best yesterday at all.We looked a little tired at times but once we had settled the chances arrived and where finished in style.2 quality strikes from jammie kay 14 for the season so far another fine individual gaol from Karl Spliinae a great header from the workmanlike James mountain and a thunderous goal number 9 for ted meagor ensured the points.I suppose we must be on track for the league as well!

Ok mate the St.Teath goals weren't all that great and like I said in our other post we didn't turn up and play the football we are capable of either.

Your first goal our keeper slipped! We then had a penalty which we should have scored, 2nd goal was a great finish but should have been cleared well before he had the chance, 3rd was a good goal no complaints with that. 4th, kay was given far to much time and room to run down the left and get the cross in and even when it did come in your player had a free header from 6 yards cos our centre backs switched off and didn't pick him up. The 5 goal was lucky as well cos it was going wide if it didn't hit our defender.

No complaints though cos you guys were definitely the better team on the day. I just hope we don't play that badly next time round.

St. Cleer 5 – 4 St. Dominick

This was a topsy-turvy match which saw two yellow cards, two penalties, arguments between the benches and a multitude of offside decisions. In a game that had everything for the neutral, St. Cleer yet again had to start with a reshuffled line-up. St. Dominick took an early lead; a sweeping move ended with Jason Gregory’s neatly driven shot across goal nestling in a bottom corner. Adam Hutchings netted the first of his four goals within two minutes but Cleer were on the back foot for most of the first half. Despite another Hutchings equalizer, the visitors’ urgency and organization kept them several steps ahead. They deservedly went in 4-2 up at half time thanks to Gregory’s second and another brace from Sam Murphy.

A refocused St. Cleer emerged for the second half, their improved movement bringing a penalty for handball within two minutes of the restart, Hutchings duly converting. As time went on, St. Dominick’s chances became more restricted, mainly due to a run of offsides. Cleer’s fluidity was sporadic but they equalized through another Hutchings penalty, after Dom’s keeper was adjudged to have fouled Craig Walton after Walton had shot at goal. Despite some spirited Dominick attacks, Cleer finally turned the game on its head on 75 minutes, substitute Lee Collins finely latching onto a neat through ball and lobbing the keeper. Whilst St. Dominick may well consider themselves unlucky, St. Cleer's resilience showed that, if they can keep a settled side, they could make good progress this season.
