V J Posted August 9, 2009 Report Share Posted August 9, 2009 What a good result for blazey after going one up only to have the keeper sent off on about 25 mins. and had to battle hard for the rest of the game, and getting the second with just minutesto go. Hight light of the day the food in the tea hut the Pasta Bake was something else.I had three portion it was that good. Paul Posted August 9, 2009 Report Share Posted August 9, 2009 What a way to start the season. The good weather led us to leave by half 10. After missing the traffic we decided to drive into Paignton and grab a stunning K.F.C We then took the scenic route and took the Dartmouth Ferry and made it to the ground for just after 2pm. We were charged £4 to get in which included a program and a 50-50 ticket. When I said to the bloke on the gate, why dont you charge for the program etc, his reply was, the locals wont pay that!! Bloody tight gits up there!!! Anyway, after loosing my ticket, when the bloke came round he reckoned id won so looked around and in the grass was a yellow ticket worth £25!! Thankyou very much. To top it all St Blazey battled away after going down to ten men and desearved the 2-0 win. St Blazey played the best football and hit the bar and post at 1-0. The sending off changed the match but Dartmouth really didnt look like scoring and the 3 points send us to Tavi on wednesday night in good spirits. No spare seats in the car for wednesday. We should have another good following. 42 St Blazey fans at Dartmouth. A good following. Paul Posted August 9, 2009 Report Share Posted August 9, 2009 We still have Tom who played last season. The Dartmouth bench thought he wasnt a goalkeeper and kept telling everyone to test him. He played very well. Give him credit, he could have walked away but hes staying to fight for his place. After that performance and with Dan out for 3 matches after a straight red, it might be Dan fighting to get back in the team. Thats what its all about though. Shocking ! Place is set-up for div 3 south devon league. Sherborne beat Bucks last week 4-3 at there place, Bucks had a couple of guys missing but Sherborne were a good passing side, guy in middle of park big lad from marines ran show.
