OPPOSITION REQUIRED FOR FRIENDLY

Recommended Posts

Newquay has been let down by our SWPL Premier Division opponents for the game that was to take place next Tuesday 4 August 2009 at Mount Wise because their squad is too small to be able to raise a side! This is a club with a second and third team. We are therefore looking for opponents for next Tuesday to visit us at Mount Wise. Ideally we are looking for a SWPL Premier team to visit but if not we will play any ECPL team or Jolleys Combination League team. Sorry to be so pedantic. Anyone who is interested please ring Jim on 07854903868. Thanks.

Come on Prem boys, you should be queing up to test yourselves against the Div 1 West Runners Up, the thought of Blazey or Falmouth at Mount Wise again would be ideal. PZ may not fancy it after getting beat twice last season. Shame on that other Prem side, was going to watch them last Sat, turned up but the clubhouse is in a right state, paint pots and rubble all over the place, no tea facilities and they played on the 'top' pitch so no seating.

Decided to head to Bodmin v Wincanton where the bar was open as was the canteen and Sheila only asked for a donation rather than charge admission, perhaps Bodmin would like a short trip to Mount Wise.

I think what you mean to say, Judge, was shame FOR that other Prem side. Work to improve facilities has to happen sometime, somehow and close and pre-season is the only time it can happen for some jobs, so stop whining and get some reality in your world.

Pre-season is to prepare teams and facilities for the coming season not to entertain "fans" of other clubs.

After YOUR typically childish chanting antics during their recent visits to Mt Wise they're probably glad YOU didn't stay.

Well said Mr.Dudley!! Clearly YOUR someone more in touch with reality than the self proclaimed "Judge".

Perhaps 'The Judge' should be more concerned about his missed placed satisfaction at his team being runners-up last season - you should have more ambition Judge, then your team might be able to play PREM opposition every week!!

Just for the record, the club who won't be at Mount Wise for some sorry reason is Wadebridge Town.

You will find that chanting, singing, flags, drums etc are all part and parcel of football nowadays but clubs with very little support wouldn't know anything about that until a 'bigger' club turn up and make it a home game for their team. And yes, we are all delighted that little 'ol Newquay with bugger all money, managed to finish 2nd in 1 West.

I chose to visit Wadebridge as a football fan, not one of any particular club and was disappointed that after reading that the clubhouse had been refurbished, found it unfinished. Bodmin were no doubt happy with the extra money my good lady and I spent at Priory Park instead.

Sorry Judge, Falmouth have a date the previous evening with our high flying near(er) neighbours Truro City.
