We all know that down at the other end of the county they play a pre-season tournement ''Dave Gardner Tournament'' What about setting up a pre-season tourne for teams at the plymouth end of the county ,

was thinking the '' the tamar cup''

could have saltash , torpoint, millbrook, edgecombe ,

any thoughts ??

I think the reason the Dave Gardner Memorial Tournament continues is the fact that obviously it is in memory of someone, and secondly, the proceeds go to charity and each season the same clubs are involved.

People expect it and look forward to it for the above reasons.

If you have a good, real reason for the games the longevity will stick and it won't be a few seasons wonder such as the St Austell Brewery pre-season cup now is.
