Scooby Posted May 23, 2009 Report Share Posted May 23, 2009 Troon 0-4 RNAS Culdrose Culdrose Goals - Dave Morey Hat trick Adam Holloway Not at the game due to illness but by all accounts we blew away a Troon side that had the bare 11 and one injured. We continued the good form of the last 2 weeks which has finally secured safety and division two football next season. One left to play next saturday away to Marazion 1200 kick off. A win would see us finish a more respectable 8th. With a goal difference of +4 and with Wendron on -12 we will need to lose 17-0 to go down! Having beaten Gulval, Pernyn, Pendeen and had close games in the cup against Chacewater and Mawnan it has been massively frustrating for the management to see them play great football but not get results in the league. leading 3-0 at half time to Wendron only to lose 3-5 typified our season. Beating Pendeen 1-0 in a cup semi final and then losing two days later to Rosudgeon 1-0 is another classic example. The lads have mirrored my beloved Pompey and crawled across the finish line to safety! and as you can imagine I am over the moon, lets hope they go into next season as positiviely as they have ended this one. well done lads.
