  1. Not quite sure what game the writer of this was watching, from a Dobwalls perspective I cannot remember our goalkeeper having anything that tested him. 2nd half Dobwalls were more than happy to hold our shape, sit off a saltash side who were comfortable in possession but who rarely threatened what was a well organised and disciplined defence from the visitors. We always felt we offered a threat on the counter and having scored 2 quick goals midway through the 1st half felt in control of the game. Thanks to Saltash for the hospitality after the game and look forward to another good game in the return. Decent bunch of lads except for the young right winger who needs to calm himself down. Was a similar character in the friendly a few weeks ago .
  2. Stithians 1st 6 - 2 St keverne Stivs followed up their mid week win with another victory here steering them towards mid table and creating some breathing space from the relegation zone. At 2-1 st keverne hit the post twice inside 5 minutes including a missed penalty but almost straight away stivs scored a 3rd to hurt them. Then a few more followed as stivs made the game safe with clinical finishing. Also very fortunate to have had an excellent ref, youngish lad who showed a lot of promise, common sense and made the correct decisions
  3. Stithians 1 - 3 St buryan Game played in awful wind at the showground Stivs went 1 nil up early on with a good goal from Treve Bale St buryan equalised straight from kick off with the right winger getting in a cross that was finished by the left winger at the far post 2nd goal was an og from myself as a dangerous near post cross following a corner not cleared properly and flicked off my shoulder into the net. To be fair it's my 1st goal in years so I'm claiming it and now off the mark for the season ? 3rd goal was a late penalty but in truth St buryan could have been out of sight by then. See you again for the cup game next week
  4. Trelawny Prem St buryan 1 - 2 Stithians Cracking game played in St buryan on Saturday, 1st half ended nil nil but with some good football on show on 1 of the best surfaces we have played on this season. 2nd half St buryan changed their shape and really put Stithians under pressure, taking a 1 nil lead when they scored from a corner. For the next 10 - 15 minutes they continued to apply some pressure but a mixture of poor finishing, scrambled defence and luck meant Stithians rode the storm. The equaliser came against the run of play with pretty much our 1st attack of the 2nd half. This seemed to deflate St buryan and gee up Stithians who scored the winner about 8 minutes from the end of the game. It was our 2nd game against St buryan in the last few weeks and was revenge for the cup defeat they inflicted on us. We do the return league fixture this week before meeting again in the Junior cup in 2 weeks time so by the end of that game we'll be glad to see the backs of each other. Thanks for the food in the pub and see you tomorrow
