All quiet on the Vanarama front

Recommended Posts

I guess all the Truro supporters have gone for an early night. They've both got an early start to get to darkest Kent, but at least the weather's been better to the east so they might at least see some play. So Ebsfleet, Truro have a couple of games in hand and are only eight places and a dozen and a half points adrift. O.K. a few goals difference to make up, but if they can sneak a few in while everyone's checking out the F.A. Cup scores they could put all (well O.K., some) of their troubles behind them.

The big question is; will the Chairman have any warm words for the good folk of Kent, and indeed will he be there? We wait with baited breath, well let's face it we're not gonna have very much else to do in soggy old Cornwall!

Leaving at 6:00 am.

Truro do perform better away from home ,because their strength is counter-attacking,and of course the noisey support.

I was told not many Truro Officials were going to Ebbsfleet, because of the Youth game at Treyew Rd,but that is postponed,so they should all be there .lol

Just got up.

Away days start with a bang in 2016.

Left on time, after breakfast at Cartgate,we arrived in Godstone at 11:30 to pick up our Millwall Crew, had to try a San Miguel, though.

Arrived at the George and Dragon at Swanscombe at 12:30,and started on the Pubs home brewed lager.

The rest of TISA 5th Column started arriving from,Bedworth,Sutton,Wycombe,Essex, some new faces as well.

Before long, the boozer was packed and the fun began, fancy dress hats, ballons, laughing reindeers, bloody mental

Now we are ready for it.Top of the table Ebbsfleet awaits.

We take it by storm, first the bar for some 1664,and a strecthing of the vocal chords, that woke up the locals.

3:00 kick off.The 5th Column has risen to about 40.God knows were the OSC are, scattered all over the place,or sitting with Pete.

Drums, ballons popping and song,Ebbsfleet have been hit with it,and it did'nt stop.

The team respond, and you could'nt tell who were the run away leaders,at the top of the League.

Truro were strong at the back, and Martin Rice always confident in everything he done.

Midfield worked their socks off and matched Ebbsfleet, and Matt Wright lead the line on his own.

Niether side had a real golden opportunity, the pitch cut up,and the legs tired, towards the end.Over 90 mins ,think both sides were happy.

Back into the Clubhouse until 6:00ish for refuelling of 1664.

Just the TISA family stayed after,to promote  TCFC as a club.Players .Management,Club Officials and the OSC are long gone.

But we recieved all the comments of our amazing support from the locals, and its makes it all worth it.

The long journey home ended at 1:00 Sunday morning.AWAY DAYS.Love it.
