ODDBALL
Hopefully a bumper crowd for this attracrive fixture , 200+ should create a good atmosphere under the lights for a cracking game Not sure if 200+ really qualifies as a bumper crowd, but still, an attractive fixture I agree, but if it makes you happy. V J
I think we all have to agree that it does when you consider the current average attendance in the SWPL Premier is 96.6! Only Parkway and St Austell have topped 200 so far this season and winter to come yet, early days yet though of course.

I am just being realistic Oddball. A crowd between 250-300 would be great but unfortunately some would still stay at home to watch Sky Sports or Coronation Street etc ! derek martyn
The score line flattered St Austell a little as the G created half a dozen decent chances but couldn't finish. The difference between the 2 teams though was Liam Eddy. He was superb last night and terrorised the lads for 90 mins with his blistering pace, high energy levels and finishing. The only surprise for me about Liam Eddy is why he never got a real run in the Truro team.

The difference between the 2 teams though was Liam Eddy. He was superb last night and terrorised the lads for 90 mins with his blistering pace, high energy levels and finishing. The only surprise for me about Liam Eddy is why he never got a real run in the Truro team. The answer is simple.Liam like a few other promising local players who were showing promise in the S/W prem were given a chance to play at a higher level by Steve Massey. But as it proved it was a mistake,as none of them including Liam were at that time good enough for southern league prem football. You have got to remember, just because you can score a hatfull of goals in the S/W prem, they are not that easy to come by in the southern prem where you get some good defenders,Apart from that no one has the god given right to be in the starting line-up every game, you have got to fight for that and show you are the best choice, and the only way a striker can do that is keep putting the ball in the back of the oppositions net. Paul
St Austell will be keen to see St Blazey get a decent result on Wednesday when we play Ivybridge.
