SJP9
What happoened to last years Vets league was there an offical conclusion to it? I see from the website it appears the league didnt get complete? was this down once again to teams failing to fullfill there fixtures? must be very annoying for the other teams that like to take the competition friendly, but with a competative nature. Come on lads teams sort it out, you either want to be in the league or not??! Also i feel for the fixtures secretary who seems to have to put up with it
I was onside
The fixture between St Dennis and St Agnes Bolsters is being played on the 6th July 11am at St Dennis, this will decide as to wether St Dennis or Illogan win the league, there was a lot of fixture congestion in the winter due to weather and also teams then struggled to get on to pitches as the veterans sides play Sunday's and so after other teams have played Saturdays games had to be called off last minute, I dont believe any teams intentionally called off games, Hope that helps. Martin McHugh
But if St Agnes Bolsters win their 3 remaining games they could win the league, will they have time to fit them in?? MQx

I was onside
Very true mate, will discuss with them and see what they wanna do I know they struggled due to pitch issues last season but hopefully that is all resolved now.
Martin McHugh
Good plan, its been another great season for the vets due to the hard work behind the scenes again and hopefully a few more teams interested in joining next season. MQx
SJP9
I have been told that St Agnes failed to raise a side once again so St Dennis have won the league, what a poor way to end the season. There are many people involved with organising this league and and many who enjoy playing in it and its sad to be let down by a few teams who cant be bothered, why enter in the first place? Martin McHugh
Website states a 3-0 win to St. Dennis??? MQx
SJP9
Yes it does, but im not sure where that has come from as the game was not played as St Agnes informed St Dennis the day before that they werent not turning up. Maybe that was what St Dennis were awarded?
Dave Deacon
Not being funny but is it worth having a league? Why not those "teams" that have affiliated and want to play, arrange between themselves to play each other?
matchu78
Rubbish way to decide the league, after a long season for a walk over to give the league to St Dennis over Illogan makes a bit of a mockery but that's football I guess.
SJP9
Dave, we may all be older but we still the competitive nature!!
Dave Deacon
Dave, we may all be older but we still the competitive nature!! Not everyone though by the looks of the league table!
SJP9
the fixtures not played both involve St Agnes who had to play Bodmin and Packhorse and that would have completed the league fixtures. So well done everyone else! I know it is not always easy to raise a side and bad winters come into play, but there are only 7 league games to fit in throughout the season and this should be considered seriously before entering a team because other teams turn up, do the travelling and fulfill their fixtures for nothing else.
