Mousehole 1 Newlyn Non Athletico 2

A hard fought local derby, but Newlyn deserved the victory in the end. The Crabs had a bag full of chances in the first half, hitting the woodwork once and missing a few, without really being threatened but still managed to go in 1-0 down after a goal straight from a corner.

Newlyn battled well in the second half and scored a goal through Adam Strowger from a quickly taken free kick. Newlyn then pressed for the winner although the ball never seemed to fall kindly for us, and Mousehole's young keeper made some fantastic saves. With around 10 minutes left after another storming run from Andrew Palmer into the box, he poked the ball through to Callum Mitchell who calmly slotted the ball past the keeper.

The last few minutes were quite tense, and Newlyn could of scored with a break away to wrap the game up, in the end in finished 2-1, with both sets of players on their last legs

Well done to Mousehole who played a very good game, with a soild back four and keeper. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Jolly's shield semi-final

Ludgvan 3 - 1 St Ives Mariners

I surprisingly close game, St Ives looked much more threatening then when we played them a couple of weeks ago. The first half was very scrappy with a lot of long ball football being played. Danny ford picked up a long through ball and showed great composure to round the keeper and a defender to score the first goal of the game.

Half time 1-0 to Ludgvan

A bit more football was played in the second half with a real battle for control of the midfield. St Ives scored quickly with a a well taken finish. But after Ludgvan sorted themselves out Danny ford managed to get onto a couple of through balls and finish convincingly past the St ives keeper who I don't think will like Danny now!!! thats 9 goals he has scored against him in 2 games

MOM

Ludgvan - Danny ford Hat trick hero

St Ives Mariners - Dazer was outstanding all match in there defence

(sorry I don't know his real name)

St Ives Town 4-1 Halsetown

St Ives outclassed Halsetown all game and deserved the win, really good game to play in with some nice football being played and also considering its a big derby the game was played in good spirit.

GOT TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO SOUND LIKE A BAD LOSER HERE BUT FIRST HALF THERE WAS NOTHING TO CHOOSE BETWEEN SIDES WITH US HITTING BAR TWICE ONCE WHEN IT WAS EASIER TO SCORE AND ST IVES HAVING A COUPLE CLEARED OF LINE MIKE PECK SCORED A GOOD HEADER IAN HODGE SCORED FROM A DISPUTED BACK PASS FREE KICK 1-1 AT HALF TIME. SECOND HALF WE STARTED WELL BUT AFTER ABOUT TEN MINUTES OUR KEEPER CALLED FOR BALL AND LET IT RUN PAST HIM FOR MIKEY PECK TO

TAP IN FOR THE EASIEST GOAL HE'LL EVER SCORE. AFTER THAT OUR CENTRE HALF PUSHED FORWARD TO BE CENTRE FORWARD LEAVING GAPS AT THE BACK WHICH ST IVES DULY CAPITILISED ON, BUT FOR SOME BAD FINISHING COULD OF SCORED MORE, ALSO LIKE TO NOTE ST IVES HAD NO FIRST TEAMERS PLAYING JUST A COUPLE OFF LADS BACK FROM COLLEGE AND TRIGGER IN GOAL GOOD YOUNG SIDE BEST OF LUCK REST OF SEASON.

Mining 1

Illogan 3 - 2 Storm

Really good game and toughest weve had all year. Not sure Storm have put that same side out more than once or twice this year as there were quite a few new faces to last time we played them.

We scored after 14 secs with Ryan Treloar and then Storm got an equalizer from a very rare mistake by our keeper who let a back pass go under his foot.

Second half again we took the lead by Johnny jones and then not long after Storm equalized from a free kick that went straight in but fortunately with about 10 to go a long ball found Jeb Martin who some how smashed it in from a really slight angle. Think we now need just 4 points from our last 5 games to win the league.

Madron 4-3 Sennen

Another great result for Madron, we started the game at a great tempo, putting Sennen under pressure, who didnt look to good at the back, our first goal come early on in the game, when Grant Sowden scored directly from a corner, it wasnt long after we made it 2-0 when Brian Quick hit an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner.

Sennen started to play putting us under a little pressure but didnt look like scoring at this point, but we soon started playing again, and had a goal ruled out, with the ref saying it didng cross the line, however the Sennen linesman gave it, but the man in the middle wasnt convinced.

It was soon 3-0, when a long throw was headed on bought a good save from the Sennen keeper, but he was unable to hold and Grant Sowden tapped in.

Sennen then started playing, putting us under pressure and we were really disapointed to concede a goal late into the half.

Half Time 3-1

We knew the job in hand this half, with the wind against us, it was too defend as a team, which we started well, but it was a great free kick from the Sennen player who put his shot into the top corner to make it 3-2.

This half was pretty much all Sennen, they had a real decent oppurtunity to make it 3-3 but didnt take it but other than that, they didnt create much, until a great ball from the right, was headed in by the Sennen forward to make it 3-3.

Credit to us almost instantly a lofted ball forward, caused a defensive mix up between the defender and Sennen keeper, allowed Dan Burt to tap into an empty net. 4-3.

With the fog coming in it was getting hard to see the ball, a long kick from the Sennen keeper in the dying moments, was seen late by the Madron keeper, he misjudged and it fell to to the Sennen forward but his shot was stopped brilliantly on the line by Tim Coates :D

A great game to watch, credit to the referee who we felt had a good game, controlled the game when it boiled over, after Sennen moaning about some solid but fair challanges.

Think they have been watching to much MOTD, going over like a bunch of girls at times. That being said good luck to Sennen for remainder of the season.

Controversial moment when the referee sent off two St Agnes players who disagreed with his opinion that Aggie had already made their three substitutions.

I think it was Four Lanes 1-0 Robartes

up until the end your report was fine.but your remarks about us moaning, when infact if we had a stronger referee.you could well have had two players sent of for what i saw as reckless challenges.i need not say anymore..and you say the ref had a good game.maybe you had more fog in your eyes, than the rest of us.

i quite agreed with your manager, that he was poor to say the least to both sides,,so get some facts right.

you deserved your win yet 3-0 you could have lost it...we blew it because we celebrated the fact from 3-0 down we had got back into the game...only to be suckered by our lapse of concentration....self inflicted.

but non the less.it cost us dear..something we have to learn from.....but your comments are way off line..

nothing has been said from sennen regarding derogatory remarks made towards madron..they played well..shame your remarks don't match that..... :SM_carton:

If the challenges were that reckless, then any ref would have sent them off, our player got booked, for retaliating, not for the initial challenge, your player pushed ours first so you could have quite easily had one off yourself. My views are that of the teams and were said both at half time and full time.
