St Agnes Ladies 4 V Charlestown 0

With the Charlestown home pitch at Sticker AFC unavailable St Agnes Ladies offered to swap the fixture to a St Agnes home game hosted at, and with thanks to, Goonhavern AFC.

St Agnes dominated the opening period and 15 minutes in Laura Rogers opened the scoring as she effectively found the back of the net.

St Agnes continued to pressure and Laura Rogers made a fabulous individual run down the left hand side of the pitch striking the ball across the keeper into the top corner to make the score 2-0 at 30 minutes.

Charlestown then came back into the game creating pressure but the St Agnes defence under the leveled captaincy of Jainey Curnow (who was excellent throughout this whole fixture) and the ever growing in confidence and performance of keeper Emma 'The Cat' Kent kept them at bay.

The second half commenced with St Agnes strong and dominate and they deservedly took their lead to 3-0 as St Agnes 'player of the match' Tracey Burley scored a superb individual goal.

St Agnes closed the scoring by Tracey Burley - the final score 4-0.

Another strong all round performance by the Aggie Ladies against a good progessing Charlestown team who were without some of their first choice line up players.

St Agnes Under 15 Girls 3 V Wadebridge Under 15 Girls 0

St Agnes girls hosted a good spirited and 'sportsmanly' Under 15 girls team from Wadebridge in a fixture which represented everything girls football in the East Cornwall Youth Football League should be!

The game was started with a RESPECT handshake which completely reflected the way the whole fixture was conducted.

St Agnes opened the scoring as the ever improving Abi Brandreth presurrised the Wadebridge goal opening the scoring to St Agnes 1 Wadebridge 0.

Wadebridge played some lovely football but found St Agnes keeper Lucy Rickett in excellent solid form keeping them out.

St Agnes scored two further goals through the ever dangerous Hannah Turner - the final score St Agnes 3 V Wadebridge 0.

St Agnes manager Mandy Kimmins congratulated Wadebridge on their determination and good sportmanship in a match during which both sides demonstrated everything that girls football at this level should be!

St Agnes 'players of the match' Emily Anderson and Kerry Penrose both in midfield were strong and outstanding in attacking and defensive situations.
