Soccer Follower Posted November 23, 2008 Report Share Posted November 23, 2008 Camborne Park v Booters (0-2) h/t 0-0 Camborne had first use of the strong wind blowing up the Park Road pitch but were unble to break down the strong visiting defence although a long range shot did rebound off the crossbar. Booters took the lead ten minutes into the second half when Kyle Barclay's knee made contact with the ball at the far post following the corner and they extended it fifteen minutes later when Richie Ward snapped up a rebound after Thommo in the home goal couldn't hold a strong shot. oldasitgets Posted November 23, 2008 Report Share Posted November 23, 2008 Storm 4 Crowntown with Crowan 2 Game played in fine spirit with the wind having more of the ball than the players. Storm played with the wind and scored 3 by half time. Two were fine long range efforts, the third with a one-on one against the keeper. Crowntown had a few good chances but the wind made it very difficult. Second half, Crowntown had all the territory but failed to score. In one of their rare attacks, Storm slotted a fourth past the Crowntown keeper. More and more chances for Crowntown were, eventually rewarded with a fine goal from Darren Browning. Ten minutes later Darren put across a vicious corner which was only helped into the net by a Storm defender. More pressure from Crowntown. Hit the post with a great shot and crashed another in off the crossbar only to be ruled offside. No complaints from Crowntown. Excellent game reffed by Grant Porterfield. Mullion 1 v 3 Shortlanesend .....probably the shock result of the day . Div 2 now very open at the top ............so who do you think will be champions now ?? TMS V TREMOUGH called off by TMS ......but ref and Tremough turned up ....not happy !!! Seems like a big lack of communication somewhere . M/PAD V HALSETOWN also off GWRSA V GLOWETH ????????? Your not wrong there, the biggest shock was that we actually played like a team lol its been so frustrating to have alot of good players but never being able to do anything in a match. id say Mullion for the title aswell, they are a really good team.
