Guest Phil H
The Tri-party committee that oversees Referees issues in the area (SW Peninsula League, Cornwall County FA & Devon County FA) seek applications for the position of Hon. Referees Appointments Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for appointing to Supply League matches, other Peninsula League games, County Cup matches and occasionally other representative matches. The post holder will receive a generous honorarium, full expenses and equipment as required. Applications from interested persons should be sent to P Hiscox, 45A Serge Court, Exeter, EX2 4EB to be received by Friday 4th July.
Dave James
DOES THIS MEAN HE WILL ALSO TAKE ON THE APPOINTMENTS FOR ALL CORNISH LEAGUES AS WELL ????
Guest Phil H
In a word - NO The person will appoint for SW Peninsula (all 3 Divisions), Throgmorton Cup and either Devon FA or Cornwall FA County Cups and Representative matches. If the applicant is Cornish a Devon based "deputy" will be sought to help with the Peninsula appointments and do Devon Cups, if the person is Devonian then a Cornish deputy will sought to help with Peninsula appointments and do Cornwall Cups. hedgerow
Sorry if I am missing something here or behind the times, but I thought Adam Hopkins was employed by Devon County FA to do this job. Has he left ?
Guest Phil H
Mr Hopkins will continue to be the Devon FA County Referees Development officer, he will however no longer be the County appointments officer
Guest plainmoor
Does this mean that alan wallice will longer be involved in appointing?
Guest Phil H
Mr Wallace is - like all people - free to apply for the vacant position The shortlisting and interview panel will consist of a member of the league, a rep from Devon FA and a rep from Cornwall FA and it would be silly to suggest who might get the job when we are still 10 days away from the closing date for applications let alone choosing the sucessful candidate !
