Guest meady Posted June 13, 2008 Report Share Posted June 13, 2008 Following Portreath AFC's AGM on 12/6/08, the Club can now confirm that Roger Sowden has stepped down from managing Portreath AFC. I would like to point out that Roger has not left the Club and will still be active in the Committee and other aspects. Therefore the Club is now seeking a new manager for the combination league and if anyone feels that they are the right candidate for this post, please contact us on the number below. I would like to give a brief insight into the Club for any propspective candidates to consider. Portreath AFC has been running for 9 seasons and will be entering its 10th season in senior status. Over those ten years we have achieved many acolades and the Committee for the Club will strive to achieve more. We have in place good foundations to the Club and a strong Committee. We have good sponsorship, excellent training equipment, kits, balls, etc. We also have two additional pitches at RAF Portreath which we now have permission to use once again for Saturday games and also a training pitch with floodlights, again at RAF Portreath. All-in-all the set up is all there for the right manager to come in and stamp his mark on the combination team to help the Club to continue to go forward and to start to write the next chapter.
