Bodmin 6 Clyst 0

Bodmin seem to have hit top form at just the right time - today's emphatic win took them to the top of the table, with rivals Saltash only drawing.

Goals came from Luke Hodge (2), Paul Baker, Danny O'Hagan, Karl Turner, and an own goal. And Bodmin could have scored many, many more.

The title is Bodmin's to lose now. Today they left out O'Hagan, Steve Ovens, Turner, Darren Gilbert, Matt Cusack, Leigh Underhay and Danny Bance. They have a very strong squad.

They are at home again on Wednesday, to Newton Abbot Spurs.

Just a footnote - the ref was superb today. Somebody called Corcoran.

Underhay and Bance might have been unavailable, although I heard from a good source that they were being 'rested'. The rest were on the bench today.

That's ok, Stig. Credit where it is due. Unfussy refs are the best.

Presume Mr Carey's touchline ban is over, seeing as he spent the second half growling around, and then seemed to have a pleasant chat with you on the pitch after the game.
