Brislington v Odd Down

Long planned visit to Brizzle to catch up with my 3 sons, we had bought tickets weeks ago to take in Bristol Rovers v Sunderland, but as that was postponed due to international call up, headed to east Brizzle to see a local derby between Brislington and Odd Down from Bath, the home side winning 3-1 in front of a paltrey 59 in attedance. Anyway for you Parkway, Exmouth and Tavy fans out there, a few observations - don't think any of you have played Brislington yet. Brislington a very big, strong powerful outfit, playing two up front in Neikell Plummer and Kristian Miller, Plummer has a great touch on the ball, very mobile for a big bloke, bagged two goals, and hit the bar with a thumdetbolt.Miller very nippy, a constant menace to defenders scored the other. Watch out for them both. Odd Down a bit lightweight in comparison, other than their skillful but portly no 5, tried the dreaded playing from the back, largely unsuccessfully, you can see why they are low in the table, although they had somehow beaten Brislington 5-1 earlier im the season.

Final comment - strange pitch, top half flat, then quite a slope down from the halfway line, but tricky to play for away sides.

Good game, good standard, good team of officials, little backchat, entertaining couple of hours on a cold November afternoon.

Thanks for the match info Jeff, good to see people out and about watching local football. Im sure the managers from all our SW teams will be interested in your analysis and run down of the Brislington outfit. They gave us two good games last year and are never to be taken lightly thats for sure, which can be said for every team in the Western League.
