AndyB88 Posted May 9, 2019 Report Posted May 9, 2019 Players Wanted Redruth United FC are offering players who are in the following age groups from September, the opportunity to attend open training sessions at the club. Next season, U8, U10, U12, U14, U15 male players & U12 female players will be training and playing regular fixtures, in a high-quality environment on a weekly basis. The open training sessions are on Thursday 11th July and Thursday 18th July held at Clijah Croft, players in attendance can come along and get a feel of what the club is like, whilst also demonstrating to coaches a bit more about them as a player. The open training session will see a range of coaches in attendance watching the players. It is hoped that more players from the youth section of the club will come through our club pathway in the future and go on to represent the club on the biggest stage in football. The 2019/20 season, will see teams train weekly focussing on the technical and tactical aspects of the game, which will include age appropriate strength and conditioning training, as well as a coaching mentoring system in place, led by senior staff at the club, to ensure the players are getting the very highest standards of coaching on a regular basis. At the open training session, U8, U10 & U12 female players will attend from 5.30-6.30pm, whilst U12, U14 & U15 players will attend from 6.30-7.30pm. CRD Posted May 13, 2019 Report Posted May 13, 2019 Out of interest, could a girl only train and play for the one u12 girls team or would they be able to try the other u12 team where you’re advertising for “male” players? And if there are girls interested in playing in other age groups could they play with the boys if they preferred?
