Ian Pethick Posted April 29, 2019 Report Posted April 29, 2019 A reminder to all those not going to Newton Abbott for the St Luke's Bowl Final tonight, you can watch a live stream via the Devon FA Facebook page. It's got to better than Coronation Street or Eastenders, you might even get to glimpse The Bald One in all his glory.
rocky170267 Posted April 29, 2019 Report Posted April 29, 2019 I’ll be watching as I disagree with giving my money to the Devon FA headquarters as the whole set up seems to be a moneymaking scheme. I believe the finals should be awarded to neutral clubs in order to make them some much-needed cash !!
Ian Pethick Posted April 29, 2019 Author Report Posted April 29, 2019 Exeter City 2 Parkway 1 (HT 0-0) Parkway just fell short against a decent looking Exeter City side . A level first half in which Parkway looked creative and knocked it around well in possession, and Exeter looking well organised and very pacey on the break. The turning point of the match was Exeter seeming knocking the stuffing out of Parkway with two goals in quick succession midway through the second half, this left the yellows looking a bit shocked and jaded with perhaps the fourth game in ten days (and 48 hours since the emotionally and physically draining game at Chipping Sodbury last Saturday) a factor. Despite this, they could have forced penalties with a scrambled Mikey Williams goal in stoppage time, and a cast iron penalty appeal turned away when Aaron Bentley was flattened with the last action of the game. A week now for Parkway to rest up and go again in the Les Phillips Cup Final against Willand next Monday afternoon.
