Once again the Ashes made a poor start conceding in the

very first minute.A free kick wide on the left fell to Ace High who scored from close range. In the first 15 minutes Exmouth could have extended their lead with 2 great chances but somehow the Ashes kept the score down to 0-1 at half-time.Saltash played good approach football but lacked a finish.

The second half was just 4 minutes old when a Sam Farrant cross was headed in by Steve Sargison to make it 1-1.On 55 minutes the Ashes were reduced to 10 men when Henry Wilson was sent off for a late challenge. From the free-kick Jimmy Hinds made easy work of poor Ashes defending to make it 2-1 to the home side. With 20 minutes to go once again the Ashes failed to clear the ball from their own area and Karl Rickard pounced to make it 3-1.

It only took the home side another 3 minutes to make it 4-1 when after an Ashes corner the homeside broke with speed and Aarron Denny out paced the Saltash defence to give Ryan Rickard no chance in the Ashes goal.
