Unused subs:Chris Menhenick & Steve Sargison. Bookings:None. Result:Launceston 1 Saltash United 4 Scorers:Maddison(17 mins),Richards 2(21 & 42 mins), Hughes(45 mins). Attendance:N/A Referee:Tony Rogers. The game got off to the the worse possible start for the Ashes when after just 5 minutes Ashes keeper Ryan Rickard spilt a free-kick from the left for Sam Davey to head the home side in front. On 17 minutes the Ashes made it 1-1 when a strong Dave Barker header found Ryan Richards who then played in Richard Maddison to slot past the home keeper. With just 21 minutes gone a cross from Sam Farrant found Ryan Richards who scored from close range. With just 3 minutes to go to half-time Maddison worked the ball to Richards who chipped the on rushing keeper to make it 3-1. The Ashes were still not finished and on the stroke of half-time Sam Hughes was faced with a 1 on 1 with the home keeper and made no mistake to give the Ashes a 4-1 half-time lead. For the opening 15 minutes of the second half it was the Ashes who looked like they would add to their 4 goals from the first half but Launceston still posed a threat and came more and more into the game but the Ashes held firm to come away with the 3 points.
