Shifty Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Premier Division: Mawnan 4-2 St Keverne St Keverne started the brighter of the sides and took an early lead when a freekick was not cleared, and despite Jamie Carnon making a good save the ball was tapped in on the rebound by the St Keverne player. Mawnan then started to get into the game, missing a couple of good chances before Adam Keenan scored the equaliser with a driven shot from 15 yards. Mawnan continued to press and after the keeper spilt a free kick from Peter Sharp, Paul Fernihough tapped in from close range to give Mawnan a 2-1 lead at half time. The second half was very scrappy with neither side creating many chances, but Mawnan made sure of the points with a close range finish for Adam Keenans second, following a through ball from Tom Pryor, and a 25 yard finish from Scott Kellow. St Keverne pulled one back from the penalty spot in the dying minutes to make it 4-2 and thats how it finished. Next game for both sides is the reverse fixture tomorrow!
