Graham Martin
FA Cup Truro 1 Bridport 1 A poor showing from Truro today against a team 3 leagues lower. Truro were dominant but couldn't score - Bridport had 1 shot on goal - and scored..! Truro's goal from Martin Watts [one of the brighter performers today]. Attendance I think about 473. gav power
not the best of games ,pitch looked good , poor crowd though for the "fa cup" !! but with £10 for adults what do you expect !! Bridport seemed to want it more , and celebrated at the end like they had one the cup !!! Strange atmosphere too , only heard some singing / chanting twice all game in the 2nd half Didnt realise there was a 3 step gap between the teams before hand , guess that was why they were happy at getting a replay. hope the bridport player who was carried off was ok , looked in a lot of pain . only having 1 shot on target all game and scoring , felt sorry for the young truro goalie , not having a chance to make amends for his error . Better finishing from truro could have killed the game off . seemed to get better when changes were made , watkins upfront looked sharp and more than a handfull when he came on truro centre back " santos " was class he looks a very good player , nice afternnoon in the sun , but not £10 worth . Pablo
Can't blame Truro for the admission price. I believe the FA set the prices in the FA Cup.
Guest The Judge aka RED OR DEAD
I think Truro wanted to charge their usual admission and Bridport agreed as they would benefit from the split after expenses. The actual rules are... Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the prices of admission subject to the following conditions: (i) Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be: In the Extra-Preliminary, Preliminary and First Round Qualifying: £3.00 In the Second and Third Rounds Qualifying: £5.00 In the Fourth Round Qualifying: £6.00 In the First and Second Round Proper: £10.00 In the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round Proper: £15.00 (ii) A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. The Away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home team if agreed by both clubs.
