Zee
Lucas is and average championship player, the sooner he's replaced the better else we will be lucky to get top 3 this season! :angry2:
Xembla
Oh, that was bad, bad, bad. Lucas is fine as a backup or change of pace, but he's no Alonso! Still, Villa aren't a bad team, etc, etc. Two losses to teams with top six ambitions. Rafa will right the ship yet!
joejellico
:yahoo: at last the mighty Villa has landed. look out boys here they come. cant wait to beat spurs and arsenal, what will somerspurs and midfield talk about then lol. :clapper:

A One And A Six
If City or Spurs are going to break in to the top four, it will be Liverpool they replace, not Arsenal!!!

cockerkneeboy
I said when he left that Liverpool will miss Alonso badly. And you are 100% correct i have to say Big mistake letting him go (Quality player)
Xembla
But he wanted to go, and no one wants to have a "Lescott" in their side! Plus, it was a lot of money (which Rafa has not or cannot spend). <_<
GuvDRed
I think Liverpool have to replace 2 players,Because they've lost Alonso and Gerrard from last season. And before everyone starts screaming..... My reasoning is this,Gerrard has to keep dropping deeper in the centre to fill the creative roll left by Alonso because no-one else is doing it.So therefore Torres is up top on his own. One man band comes to mind :P
nephew
After only 3 games and I know what people will say"Its early days" but already I can see that my Liverpool are not going to match last season. They seem to have very little depth in there squad and already the players look tired and lack ideas. They are missing Alonso and the new signing they say will not be totally fit until late November.I already think its not looking good. I cant see them challanging for the league and at this rate will struggle for next years champions league. You cant even the 2 owners putting there hands in there pockets to spend some of Alonso's money. Lets hope the title will go to Arsenal or Chelsea - not to the other team who play in Red

midfield
The scousers haven't improved their squad at all. Losing Alonso is a major blow for them. If Citeh are going to replace anyone in the top 4 it'll probably be them.

Martin Eddy
the difference with man utd winning the title after losing the first 2 games is they are used to winning the premiership title unlike liverpool . this season if one team slips up early on they will be left behind by the others. competition will be harder and closer this year. :c:
GuvDRed
I'm with you on this one Postman Pat,United know how to run that course,It'll be a very close league this year and yes it is early, But no team want's to fall too far behind, Because it will be really hard to stay in the race.
