Hayle 3rds were due to play camborne town in a pre season friendly tonight. The game was confirmed 6 days prior, a referee was arranged and many players swapped shifts at work to be available. We were all changed and ready with no opponents!?!?!! Several phone calls and messages were made to the 'manager' Josh Baker and messages sent to some players but there was no response! Now if a team could not be raised that wouldn't be a problem, and maybe even another opponent found but to just not turn up and ignore any attempt of contact is NOT ON!!!! I hope they don't do this to any other team and waste lots of peoples time including a ref (who was ready and changed). So be prepared if you have a game arranged with them... Chances are you will be playing amongst yourselves! Is this a sign of things to come for theis season ahead....?

Hayle dominated from start to finish with countless chances going begging! We moved the ball around well and a miss from 6yards and hitting the post from free kick in the second half didnt help! a great performance all round and we dis everything but put the ball in the net! Goonhaven did have a few chances in the first half including the disallowed goal for offside but they didn't have a shot in the second half. A good bunch of lads and the game was played in good spirits and reffed very well.
