Dave Deacon
Chris Webb as Truro's Vice-chairman posted this morning (at 5.06am!) on the Tiger Talk Forum saying the club was sorry that "due to lack of Players our 3rd Team have had to pull out of the Falmouth & Helston Football League." He went onto suggest that it was no surprise that the players have stepped up to higher football, but he reckons that lack of facilities also remains an issue. Chris confirms that there is no way "Treyew Road can have a Cornwall Combination League team playing at the gound", and so it would appear the subject of getting "‘first class’ training facilities and additional pitches to enable this Club to progress up through the football pyramid system" is back on the agenda by adding "A facility which all our Youth teams can call home instead of being scattered all over the county and we cannot afford to lose any more teams through lack of pitches!" He finshes with commenting "The Youth teams are crucial to Truro City’s ambitions and success, that is why we desperately need the right facilities so that we can build and sustain strong foundations to ensure this great Club goes from strength to strength as it continues it’s groundbreaking record in Cornish Football history." Jasa
As far as I am aware, the team has been looking into Combination football for at least 6 months, but were unable to get an agreement together to play at Malpas permanently.
