Torquay were by far the best team I have seen in the pre-season friendlies. Truro were very close to Yeovil and Argyle but they were totally out-shone by Martin Lings well organised, fast & skilfull Torquay team. They have now completed their pre-season and followed up very good wins over Bristol City & Exeter City with a comprehensive performance. A very good bet for promotion this season. 100%cornish Posted July 30, 2011 Report Share Posted July 30, 2011 Torquay very impressive the no9 for them rene howe will be a real handfull for most defences ,Truro played well and young Brooks pulled off some brilliant saves but he and there defence where pretty poor overall but Torquay where just so good and will be 1 of the favs for promotion for sure.Ex truro goalie came on as a sub and the first thing he had to do was pick the ball out of the net from truros sub young Barry Hayles .The crowd was 506 at £10 each but a very entertaining game .Truro need a goalie before the start of the season or i can see them struggle maybe they could get rice back on loan .Anyway thankyou to both teams for putting on a really good game.Good luck to truro + Torquay this season Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
