Sheikh Mansour
Wind controlled the Sticker vs Morwenstow game today . First half was dominated by the wind assisted sticker and Kieren conibeer-trathen scored a header from a frank mcavoy corner on the stroke of half time to give them the goal they were striving for to take sticker in 1-0 up. Second 1/2 sticker could have killed of the game but didnt make there best of chances, though with the wind morwenstow had a few chances of their own and eventually equalised from a long throw causing a scramble in the penalty area which fell to a Morwentow player who converted through many body's from 8 yards out. But wind certainly played a key part in making this one a scrappy game despite both sides trying to play football the right way.
taxdodger
good game torpoint v bere alston, strong winds played a big part in the game, what a numpty the torpoint keeper must have felt! bailed out by his team mates in the end, credit to bere alston for their performance
Guest ECPL Supporter
To be fair to the Torpoint keeper he responded well to his mistake in the 1st half and dealt with some really tricky balls in the 2nd half that got caught in the wind. It's an old cliche but it really was a game of 2 halves obviously being dictated by the strong wind. While Torpoint will feel they should have put the game out of sight in the 1st half, Bere will feel like once they equalised there was only 1 winner and it should have been them. Willser !
Well done to Bude yesterday, dealt with the elements much better than Polperro. First time i've seen Billy Hopcraft in action, pure class. There was a topic about a ECFL select XI, he would have to be in there, simple.
