Mandy K Aggiemaid Posted November 8, 2008 Report Posted November 8, 2008 Members of St Agnes AFC and a huge number of other footballing and other sporting clubs attended the Cornwall Sports Partnership Awards at Tregenna Castle Hotel, St Ives last night. I am really, really chuffed to tell you that St Agnes AFC won the Adult Club of Year and the Overall Club of the year (and that was won by a public vote through the local press!). A recognition for the efforts made during the 2007/08 season - thank you to everyone who has helped and supported in every way - on and off the pitch! We also received two individual awards within the club Lin Taylor received Adult Volunteer - a hugely deserved award and Anita Gittins was voted top official for her volunteer refereeing and support with line running within our youth and ladies section! I was thrilled to have our President Ian Doble and previous Chairman David Teagle with us at the Award ceremony to be part of celebration and the recognize the valuable contribution they have both played over the years! Thank you everyone who has helped St Agnes AFC to achieve so much this year we were already voted the Cornwall FA Charter Standard Development Club of the year and now these recognitions within the Cornwall Sports Partnership! Well done everyone! Mandy Kimmins (Chairman St Agnes AFC)
