This was a cracking match and after being very unlucky to lose out on penalties against Bodmin in the league cup last week the visitors having dominated for long periods again came away empty handed after a late goal on 86 mins by substitute Reynolds clinched a fortunate victory for the league leaders. Unfortunately for the visitors having created and squandered a host of chances the Magpies clinical finishing with their opportunities proved decisive. McPherson shot Dobwalls ahead on 19mins when Dillon rose to head Tappers corner kick on and shortly after Hake twice was denied by home keeper Taylor this enabling PZ to equalise through Westgarths crisp finish from MIller's pass. The second half followed a similar fashion when despite the strond wind both sides tried to play constructive football of a high quality and after several near misses Hake put the visitors in front again on 74mins when his quickly taken free kick took the home rearguard by surprise - justice being done somewhat as Bartlett looked to have tripped inside not outside the box...however the protests of the home side about he freekick were such that as the players returned to the middle the ref failed to hear the comment directed at him by an irate Taylor which surely would have resulted in a red card had it been heard ...Dobwalls however failed to capitalise on the lead again and Hooper's close range effort after a neat three man move levelled the scores two mins later before Taylor survived a misunderstanding with his defender which should have resulted in Bartlett scoring leaving things open for the Magies late winner......Dobwalls must learn to take their chances if they are to turn performances over the last two weeks into victories in the future.
