In September 2008 the Penzance Pumas were due to enter the U9 Kernow Youth League. However, on Friday the 27th June 2008, the FA announced that children under the age of 8 years old will be banned from playing competitive league football with effect from the 2008/2009 season. This new rule will affect 2 of our players who would not be able to enter the league this season. It has been decided by all the players and parents not to enter the league this year but to wait until the 2009/2010 season and enter the U10's league so the whole team can play together. The 2 boys are extremely greatful to the rest of the team and are looking forward to playing friendlies together in the coming months.
