Mandy K Aggiemaid
The St Agnes AFC Bolster Fat Boys Veterans finished their season with a thrilling 4-4 draw away at Downderry on Sunday 25th May 2008. A bus trip to Polperro AFC where Downderry were playing proved eventful with a flat battery and jump leads adding to the morning! The St Agnes goals were scored by Lee Jewell, Dave Keverne and Richard Carr who had 2 - not sure who scored for Downderry but thank you to them for their hospitality and hats off to them for all the travelling they have done this season - its a jolly long way for a game of vets football! St Agnes AFC have boasted two fine veterans teams this year with The Bolster Vets finishing a creditable 3rd in the League in their first season and The St Agnes A Team 6th. Any male players over 35 years of age who feels they still have some football playing skills left in their legs is welcome to contact Martyn Kimmins on 01872 553650/553233 for details of next years veterans teams.
