Guest Black&White Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Goonhavern 0, Penzance 5 Steve Hancock netted two well taken goals to help the Magpies earn a comfortable win over a Goonhavern side who to their credit, never gave up and gave a good honest account of themselves. Nick Pugliese had scored the Magpies first goal after only three minutes, and Jay Liddicoat notched his second of the season in the second half. The visitors had numerous other chances to have won by a bigger margin, but home player/manager John Mitchell made some good stops to keep the scoreline respectable.
Guest Luffy Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Black and White, Although you won 5 - 0 which is classed as a comfortable win, I would say that your keeper was the busier of the two for the majority of the match, he made several key saves in the first half and in the second Goonhavern should have scored to make it two one but hit the post. Therefore the score may have been comfortable but the actual game for PZ was not. All the best for the rest of the season.
