Have you got what it takes to beat the German machine? (Mean Machine 3 x P6 Premier Division winners)

Do you dare face the Spartans? (NIAMOS Spartans team pose with injured manager Jackson still managing a smile for the camera - these boys are hard!)

There may be an opening for a new team to come into the Sunday Night Premier Sixes league in Newquay in the next couple of weeks. It's not often a space opens up but two sides may be merging which will create an opening if anyone is interested in putting a team in.

All teams get their own team mini website as well as player stats, divisional stats, match reports and the chance to join in on the very busy P6 forum. There is a player of the week award were you can pick up some beers for an outstanding performance as well as a chance to get in the weekly team of the week.

Last weeks Rowdies vs Egloshayle match report..

Newlyn East Rowdies 1 – 2 Real Egloshayle

Squad News: Egloshayle were definitely at full strength this evening, the Rowdies also boasted a full team and their own crowd as usual.

Egloshayle had to win this game to qualify, the Rowdies knew they were already through. Sean Hambley (who in a recent vote by women aged 65+ who live in the Egloshayle area came out on top as Egloshayle’s best player and best looking guy taking the titles previously held by Jon Meagor and Reg respectively) got Egloshayle on their way scoring their first goal against the Rowdies All Stars. Arren Dilley back to full fitness after his bout of fat leg / fake limpitis last week scored the equaliser which meant that Egloshayle were now staring elimination in the face. Up stepped Jon Meagor who had been a handful all match to conjure up the magic to send Egloshayle through when he buried a free-kick to give them the much needed points. Egloshayle face Team Handsome while the Rowdies must over come either Oceans 6 or Wet Bandits in the other semi-final.

MoM: Jon Meagor, the magic is back as he bids to reclaim his crown of Egloshayle’s best player.

A Player of the Week report....

Sunday 30th September 2007 - Mark Rose - Red Sox

This weeks player of the week goes to possibly the most technically gifted player in the league. Mark Rose spent his early years being brought up by a group of Ninjas in the means street of St Columb Minor. He was rescued from them by Sir Lowry and his wife Dilley. They brought him up on the Lowry family estate in Upper Treloggan with their other beloved son Dan O Caravans. They formed a football team in 1983 called Larry's Roof Raiders despite Dilley's objections at the time that Arren's Shirt Lifters was a more appropriate name. From this point they developed into one of the most feared 6-a-side teams this side of the Gannel. Mark aka Squirrel due to his exceptionally hairy arse was always the most gifted of the players but was always overlooked when it came to the Player of the Week award as Sir Lowry would use his political power to swing the award his way. Last night though there was no way Lowry could stop Rose from claiming the accolade. Locked in a tight match against a determined Prep H team which featured the likes of Caveman Greebo, Sammy the Seal and Rikkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkiiiiiiiiiiiii Clarke, Rose broke the deadlock with the sickest goal ever witnessed at P6. A harmless looking cross was floated in only for Rose to magically leviate himself 20 foot into the air and then produce the craziest scissor kick ever seen which flew into the roof of the net at 34,000mph - Obviously all those years growing up with Ninjas didn't go to waste. The Prep players despite falling 1-0 behind couldn't hold back their admiration such was the beauty of the goal. Rose then traded 40 yard crossfield balls with Sir Phil's wife Dilley before burying the second to see off the brave challenge of Captain cavemans team.
