Scott Laird's brother and former Plymouth Argyle trainee Jamie Laird has gone a bit international since his departure from Home Park. First he went to play for Ange IF in Sweden and now he's of to Teramo Calcio in Italy. From what i've heard he's not as good as his older brother, who is currently on loan at Torquay Utd.

FORMER Robert Blake Science College pupil Jamie Laird has just returned from a spell playing professional football in Sweden.

The 18-year-old defender, a former Scottish youth international captain, went to Sweden after he had been released by Plymouth Argyle in the summer. He played for Ange IF in Division Four of the Swedish League for three months until the season ended there recently.

Now the second son of Bridgwater Town's co-manager Craig Laird is off to Italy. There he will play for Teramo Calcio, who are in Serie (Division) C2/B of the Italian League. Teramo is east of Rome, in central Italy.

Craig Laird said: "He did well in Sweden and he was one of the few foreign players asked to stay on for a couple of weeks after the season had ended. They finished high in their league."
