News from the CWFL AGM
The Cornwall Women's Football League hosted its AGM with a good turn out and 9 teams entered for the 2014/15 Season. Following last year's league runner-up Newquay Celtic successfully applying for promotion to the SWWFL Illogan, St Agnes, Penzance, Mullion, St Breward and St Teath all remain within the CWFL.
The league were delighted to welcome back Hayle Ladies following one season of abscence. New side Mabe FC were elected in as well as last years youth side coming up from Culdrose.
A very positive AGM resulted in member clubs voting to play 11 v 11 again for the forthcoming season within one division of 9 teams with rolling subs and the league commencing fixtures on the 14th of September with the usual Christmas and Mothering Sunday breaks.
The decision on the final format of the CWFL League Cup competition was put back until Christmas with member clubs voting to fixture their home and away league matches for the early part of the season and to add in the cup rounds to the second part of the season when league fixtures were fulfilled.
The management committee was voted in with Mandy Kimmins as Chair (Welfare & Press Officer), Bella Richards as Vice-Chair, Denzil Lobb as Treasurer with Registrations and Fixtures, Bethany Hobbs as Secretary and Zoe Lethbridge as the new CCFA Council Rep.
All clubs nominated a general committee member to help improve the league communication to clubs in line with the leagues new communication strategy.
Chair Mandy Kimmins thanked the out going committee members for their contribution, wished Newquay Celtic good luck in their promotion and welcomed all teams into the CWFL for 2014/15.

Any ladies players interested in joining one of the existing teams within the CWFL is welcome to contact Denzil Lobb by email d.lobb48@btinternet.com who will sign post them to their most convenient team.
