Robbo5
BOVEY TRACEY MANAGER Ryan German is hoping to include Kai Fisher, Cliff Walters and Liam Head for Saturday's game against Launceston at Pennygillam (3pm). All three were unavailable for last weekends 2-1 win against Ivybridge Town as the Moorlanders go into the game with extra confidence and renewed belief after coming away with the victory at Erme Valley in tough conditions, though the ground staff worked hard to keep the game on. German and his assistant Micky Hunt will look to ensure that the squad do not get carried away with recent results but are happy that the players are starting to believe in their own abilities that they can match any side on their day, showing excellent work-rate and determination to work for one another. Last weekend's match winner Jamie Micklewright will look to continue his fine goalscoring form while Lewis Plackett will look to retain his starting place, after switching positions for last weekend's victory. Launceston have remained in the top six all season despite losing a third of all league games at home. Bovey have won their last 2 away games and are starting to move up the table. It's pleasing for all associated with the club as only five points separate sixth-placed Saltash United and 13th-ranked Newquay with Bovey currently 15th. German believes there is time for Bovey to make more gains as the club looks to get a couple of wins on the bounce and reduce the gap. This is surely a big week for the club as they look to prove that beating Ivybridge doesn't mean they will beat Launceston. German though is confident that his side can match anyone on their day. Crusty
Isn't there an 11point gap between Bovey and Newquay ?. As well as the table being somewhat false at the moment due to the inconsistency of games played between the teams. Fair play for beig optimistic tho. Robbo5
There is an 11-point gap between Newquay and Bovey Tracey but I didn't state Bovey's currently gap from them and Saltash or Newquay, the pre match states that only 5 points separate Newquay from moving into the top 6. I agree though there are still so many games to get through but we all will lol.
