Robartes 3 - St Buryan 4

What a result.

Could of taken the lead early on but didn't take our chances , only for Bartes to go and put 1 away at the other end. We should of equalized but rushed it, not long after Bartes got stuck in and put pressure on us and scored 2 more. Our heads dropped but luckily Bartes couldn't convert several other quaility chances. 3 nil Bartes .

2nd half we went straight at it again and got our reward 3-1. This was just what we needed early on as everyone got a lift and put in a shift. We made the most of their high line and the super fast Gary James got in round the back to make it 3-2 not long after. Bartes came at us and we caught them on the break, get in! At 3 all we were buzzing and never gave it up, making the easy pass and working solid as a team. Defence were superb as it was such a mixture of 1st/2nds so hats of to them as they shut out most attacks. To get the 4th with 10 or so to go we were stoked , but never phased even though Bartes came at us strong as we closed them down well reducing them to 1 shot on target in the 2nd half.

Well done to all the 2nds (9 of them) who did a cracking job ! Oh yeah lets not forget Gary as he scored all 4 , take a bow sunshine! Thanks to Robartes for a cracking game and to the ref who did a quality job . Shame you never made it down the pub but then you probably went home for the hot shower??
