oldasitgets Posted May 16, 2010 Report Share Posted May 16, 2010 Sobey Shield Semi-Final Halsetown 2 Truro GWRSA 6 AET (2 - 2 at 90 mins) The venue was switched to Halsetown due to non-availability of pitch at Truro. Great effort from Halsetown. They were 2-1 up when awarded a penalty, at one stage. Sadly they failed to convert it, and GWRSA equalised to take it into extra time. Comprehensive extra time victory to take GWRSA into next week's final against Booters. Both teams missed a penalty, but only 1 team let their keeper take it. Let's just say he'll be number 11 on the list in the Cup final if it goes the distance . Not much more to say really.. Gotta be a helluva lot better next week if we want that 1st piece of silverwear. Well done Tremough, should be a contender for top spot in D2 next season no doubt.
