Carbis Bay vs Goonhavern res

Carbis Bay 6 - 1 Goonhavern

Great game today, took us 20mins to settle down and start playing the ball about, this lead to a penalty on the half hour mark wich was placed away. Once the deadlock ws broken it was oneway traffic with Carbis Bay having chance after chance, we did manage to score another two before h/t but should have been more if it wasnt for the Goonhavern keeper making some great stops.

Second half started with Carbis bay on the front foot and looking to put the game to bed, 10mins into the second and the fourth came from some neat football starting with the rightback and finishing with the same player scoring a low drilled shot from the edge of the box. The fifth came from a free header 5yrds out and the sixth came with just under 20 mins to play from a corner wich was volleyed away by the centre half. Goonhavern never gave up and scored a late consolation goal wich should have been dealt with by the defence but I guess we were guilt of switching off early!!!

Would like to say a big thanks to Nick Strong who had to ref the game today as none appointed, you did a great job today mate, you let the game flow and were very fair. Thanks to Goonhavern for the game all the best with therest of your season, hope you enjoyed the roast dinner afterwards!!
